Welcome to NewlandsEast.co.za!

After trying to keep up with whats going on in our area via the numerous Facebook community groups, and not really getting much… it gets one thinking, how much do you really know about what’s going on in our neighbourhood?

1. When you drive past the grounds, do you know who’s playing? If you did, would you consider pulling out your camping chair and supporting our local clubs?
2. Are you aware of the state of our schools? The lack of functional plumbing in science classrooms, or even that certain classrooms have large areas in which there are no tiles on the floor.
3. Who do you go to when its time to enrol your toddler in day care?
4. Are there swimming lessons available in Newlands East? If so, who does them?
5. Maybe you’ve heard about “Cornubia” and “RPC Houses”… What is that? Who knows more?

There are numerous thoughts that could go through your mind, many questions you may have, but dont know where to get a proper answer from. This is the reason for the creation of NewlandsEast.co.za … a central place, accessible to anyone with a computer, tablet or just a smartphone… where we can all share our information and get talking.

There are a few people that have volunteered to share information about the organisations that make up our community, such as schools, churches, sports clubs, neighbourhood watches and more to keep us more informed and WE ARE LOOKING FOR MORE. If you would like to share some information on the website, pls email aweh@newlandseast.co.za either with the article and some pics or let us know who you are and we will teach you how to share on the website as a writer, allowing you to share as much as you can, whenever you can.
